We headed up to the lake at about 8AM this morning for a fun time. We had intended to stay until maybe 2PM, but ended up being there until about 6PM. Hey, if everyone is having a good time, why stop a good thing right? I invited some friends that I have had since before high school. We had a lot of fun. Everyone was especially so sweet and nice to T and A. We finally got some pictures of T water skiing with me. He has been doing this since he was 2 1/2 years old. It was awesome. He was on cloud nine as we got back in the boat and he bragged about what a good water skier he is. We also got a new rope made especially for wake boarding (it is more of a cable than a rope). I was really skeptical, I mean a rope is a rope right? Nope. The first time I flew through the air (really that is like the Spruce Goose flying), I realized this gave me a lot more control and A LOT more hang time. It was all really great except for the part where I crashed so hard on my face that I felt like I should go back and search for my eyelids. After boating we went to Park City and had dinner at Cafe Rio. So, what started out as a quick morning trip that was supposed to bring us back home by 2PM, ended up being a fun filled day that brought us home at 8PM instead. I just got done showering the kids and putting them to bed, unloading the boat, and ironing all the clothes for church. Who says that work comes first, then comes play? Okay, I am only kidding, I try to teach the kids that all the time and try to live it myself. Anyway, it was a fun day and may be our last boating day this season. :(
T and I skiing together. The best water skier ever! Notice he just hangs there, he doesn't actually touch the skis. I hold him tight under his arms and with his legs by my knees.
Even the best water skier ever needs a rest sometimes. I don't think a time has gone by this season where both of the kids did not fall asleep on the boat. I cannot even believe they are able to sleep, but they seem comfy.
I showed A how to pretend to be a walrus with her Twizzlers today.
This is my buddy (if you look close you can see his foot in the air) as I was in the process of knocking him off the tube.
We could never go to the lake without having some time with T and A in the tube. A likes to go slow and smooth, T would prefer to go fast and bumpy. It is a little hard to accommodate both at the same time.
I LOVE this picture of T and I coming out of the water. Not only is his face priceless, but it almost looks like he suddenly got a larger body since you can barely even tell I am holding him.
